Wendy Dorreen
Fisher
Aug 30, 1957 — Jul 16, 2026
Battle Creek MI
In Loving Memory of Wendy Dorreen Fisher
Wendy Dorreen Fisher, 68, of Battle Creek, Michigan, entered eternal rest on July 16, 2026. Born on August 30, 1957, in Battle Creek, Wendy spent her entire life in the community she loved.
Wendy lived a life filled with love. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her family and friends. She loved deeply, laughed often, and found joy in the simple things. The many family members she leaves behind are a beautiful reminder of the love she shared throughout her life.
She was a true free spirit who loved hummingbirds, all kinds of birds, and being outdoors in nature. She adored her pets, enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls, and loved telling people that Elvis was her husband.
Her joyful spirit was contagious. She loved sharing animated stories, often spinning a tale with such conviction that she'd have everyone believing every word—until her laughter and warm smile gave away that she was simply having a little fun. Making people smile was one of her greatest gifts.
The photos her family treasures tell her story best. Wendy was almost always surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, or dear friends. She made people feel welcome, accepted, and loved. Her home, her heart, and her life were always open to those she cared about, and she would do anything for the people she loved.
Wendy was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth M. Skidmore; her mother, Bernadine J. Moore (Weisenberg); her sisters, Pamela Blancard and Leona Black; and her brothers, David Slater and Jeffery Skidmore.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Tabatha Conklin, Sara Conklin, and David Renner (wife, Melody).
She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Angel, Cody (wife, Mary), Ashley, Alexis, Michelle (Wendy's adopted daughter), Brianna, Shaii (spouse, Dontay), Halie, Paige, Christian, and Minzy.
Her great-grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life: Jaxson, Desi, Nikya, La'Riyah, A'miyah, Leilahni, Amillyah, Elaina, Elijah, ExZavion, and Shawn II, along with many other children who lovingly called her Grandma or GG.
She is also lovingly survived by her sister, Diana Harkins; her brothers, Kenneth Skidmore and Bryan Skidmore; many nieces, nephews, extended family members, treasured friends, and everyone whose life was made brighter by knowing her.
Wendy will be deeply missed, but the love she shared, the laughter she brought, and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
