Wayne Douglas Ford Jr., age 45, of Schoolcraft, Michigan passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026 surrounded by loving family and friends. Wayne was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on April 26, 1981 and in his early years he attended Schoolcraft Public Schools. After graduation, he attended KVCC and graduated with a degree in software engineering.

Throughout his life he was known for being a family man. Wayne was an entrepreneur and followed through with working in residential construction through his adult life. Wayne loved all things outdoors and held multiple state titles for hunting. He also had a passion for the Michigan wolverines. Wayne was a very picky eater, but when it came to his bologna, mustard and cheese on white bread with Doritos, he was always ready to eat. Wayne loved spending time with family and friends, and if a bonfire was planned Wayne was always the first to go. He was an avid music person and loved his video games. He was the biggest flirt and overall funniest goofball you will ever meet. Wayne will be remembered most for his devotion to his family and his love for his punkin.

He is survived by his parents, Wayne Ford Sr. and Christina Ford; his beloved daughter, Alyssa Ford (Shai); his siblings, Natasha Ford and Katie Wetzler; as well as many aunts and uncles who helped raise and shape him into the man he is today. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Elizebeth Forman and Lucy Ford; and his grandfather, Frank Salisbury Sr.

Wayne will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all. A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
