Valoree Ann Charette, born on March 23, 1961, in Rosebud, South Dakota, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025, in Marshall, Michigan, surrounded by her loving family. Valoree had a remarkable spirit and a zest for life that brought joy to those around her.

A cherished mother, Valoree is survived by her son, Robert (Rachelle Sutherland) Charette, and her daughter, Jennifer Kudrna. She was a proud grandmother to four grandchildren, Cam Kudrna, Lauren Ewert, Zander Sutherland, and Jasmine Martin, who filled her heart with immense joy and love. Valoree also leaves behind her beloved sister, Phyllis Whiteshield, and nephew, Wade Crawford; as well as close family friend, Samuel Gourneau, who will fondly remember her vibrant personality.

Valoree's passions were as varied as they were engaging. She found delight in surfing Facebook, where she shared her life and connected with friends. Her love for gaming was evident in her enthusiasm for playing Bingo and Slotomania. Music resonated deeply within her soul; she had a particular fondness for heavy metal, drawing inspiration from bands like Metallica, Ozzy, and Avenged Sevenfold. However, she also enjoyed the timeless melodies of The Beatles, as well as the countrified sounds of Gary Allan and Tracy Byrd.

Creativity flowed through Valoree as she enjoyed working with plastic canvas, expressing her artistic side through this craft. She took great pleasure in watching her son race on the computer and spent many happy hours with him watching Nascar.

Valoree's final day was a testament to her loving nature, filled with cherished moments and simple pleasures, including cookies, soda, and  Dateline NBC that she so enjoyed.

She is reunited with her beloved parents, Robert and Gladys Whiteshield, her husband, Richard Charette, her brother, Ronnie Whiteshield, her brother-in-law, Spuddy Belgarde, and her son-in-law, Sean Charette.

Valoree leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a colorful zest for life that will forever be remembered by her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
