Todd A Hughes

Todd Hughes, born on June 19, 1959, left this world on September 30, 2025, but the beat of his life continues to resonate in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Todd was a very talented individual, full of energy and passion, living life on his own terms and embracing every moment to its fullest.

He grew up in Coldwater, Michigan, where he graduated from Coldwater High School. During his time there, Todd was a proud member of the school band, where his love for the drums first took root. He also excelled in athletics, participating in track and field with a special focus on pole vault. Known for his remarkable skill and determination, Todd earned the title of “all-time best” in pole vault at Coldwater High, setting a record that stood as a testament to his drive and talent.

From an early age, Todd found his true voice through music. His love for the drums blossomed in high school and became a lifelong passion. He dedicated himself to music—playing the guitar, singing, and enjoying lively nights out at karaoke. A devoted fan of rock music, he had a particular fondness for the electrifying sounds of the 80s, often belting out his favorite hits from legendary bands such as ACDC.

Todd's interests extended beyond music. He held a deep admiration for Indian culture, proudly expressing this through tattoos and symbolisms that decorated his life, showcasing his appreciation for diversity and creativity.

He leaves behind his beloved children, Raelynn Janda and Jeremy Brown, who carry forward his vibrant spirit. Todd Alan Hughes was a devoted brother to Mike Hughes and a loving grandfather to his four precious grandkids, Ethan, Kaylee, Neveah, and Aubree, each of whom were cherished lights in his life. He also found joy in the companionship of Brenda, whose presence enriched his journey, along with her children and grandchildren who became part of his extended family. Todd is also survived by his uncle, Tom Kolassa, whose connection remained meaningful throughout Todd’s life. 

He is now reunited in spirit with his beloved mother, Nancy, and his stepfather, Casmer “Casey” Jenkot—together once more in peace and love.

While Todd may no longer walk among us, his memory will forever echo in the rhythms of his beloved drums and the laughter shared over karaoke nights. His up-beat personality and ability to live life unapologetically will continue to inspire those left behind, reminding us all to find joy, embrace our passions, and live fully in honor of this extraordinary soul. Todd Hughes may have departed from this earthly realm, but the legacy of his love, creativity, and zest for life will remain vibrant and enduring in the hearts of family and friends.
