Timothy Charles Ohmer, age 61, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, in Kalamazoo. Born on January 20, 1964, in Saginaw, Michigan, Tim grew up with strong Midwestern roots and a deep appreciation for family, loyalty, and the simple joys of life.

Raised in Saginaw, Tim graduated from Central Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. His education set the foundation for a long and dedicated career with Stryker Corporation, where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to take on any challenge—qualities that defined him throughout his life.

Tim was an all‑around great guy: humble, private, and endlessly thoughtful. He had a natural ability to make others feel seen and valued, always putting the needs of those around him before his own. Whether checking in on a friend, offering help without being asked, or showing genuine interest in the lives of others, Tim lived his life with quiet kindness.

Before health issues limited his activity, Tim was an avid golfer who loved the game for both its challenge and its camaraderie. He was also a devoted fan of the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers, and Michigan State University—teams he supported faithfully through every season.

Above all, Tim was a loving and devoted husband to Aimee Elizabeth Ohmer, who was the center of his world. Their beloved golden retriever, Baylor, held a close second place in his heart, bringing joy and companionship to their home.

Tim cherished time spent with family, especially fishing and boating on Indian Lake, where many of his happiest memories were made. He took great pride in the accomplishments of his nieces, Reece and Olivia Ohmer, celebrating their pursuit of advanced educational degrees with admiration and joy. He also enjoyed tackling home improvement projects, always eager to learn, build, and create.

Tim is survived by his wife, Aimee Elizabeth Ohmer; his loving mother, Irene Elizabeth Ohmer (Princing), and his father, Charles William Ohmer; his brother and sister‑in‑law, Todd David Ohmer and Amy Ohmer; and his nieces, Reece Ohmer and Olivia Ohmer. He is also survived by his father‑in‑law and mother‑in‑law, Jon J. Kachniewicz and Kitty R. Kachniewicz; brother‑in‑law and sister‑in‑law, Steve and Haidee Kachniewicz, and their sons Ian, Ari, and Eli; and brother‑in‑law and sister‑in‑law, Eric and Elizabeth Larson, and their children Jack, Charles, Alice, and Claire. His beloved dog, Baylor, remains a cherished part of his story.

Tim was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chester and Stella Princing, and David and Jane Ohmer.

Tim will be remembered for his warmth, his gentle humor, his unwavering loyalty, and the quiet strength he carried throughout his life. His legacy lives on in the family he loved, the friendships he nurtured, and the countless small acts of kindness that defined who he was.

A celebration of Tim’s life will be held at a later date.
