Theresa Ann Wilson, born on July 3, 1970, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on April 29, 2026, in Battle Creek, Michigan. A woman of remarkable warmth and generosity, Theresa leaves behind a legacy defined by her heart of gold and unwavering dedication to those she loved.

Theresa was a highly skilled auto detailer who took pride in her meticulous work. In addition to her talents in auto care, she contributed as a delivery driver for Spark, showcasing her strong work ethic and commitment to her community. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Theresa remember her bright smile that could illuminate any room—a reflection of the kindness and positivity that were hallmarks of her character.

Her kindness extended beyond her professional life; Theresa was always there for anyone in need, offering help without hesitation. Her generous spirit and willingness to support her friends and family endeared her to many.

Theresa’s passions painted a vivid picture of a life well lived. She loved her dog, Bodie, and found joy in spending time with family and friends, often engaging in lively game nights playing cards, particularly Euchre and Poker. Theresa delighted in outings to the casino, fishing, and enjoyed playing pool. Her zest for life was evident in her love for dancing, where she was known as an excellent dancer celebrated by all who shared the floor with her.

Theresa is survived by her beloved daughter, Stephanie (Melvin W.) Black. She was a cherished grandmother to three grandchildren: Miracle and Harmony Dixon, and Octaiveus Wilcox. Theresa’s family circle also included her loving mother, Cheryl DeFrates, and her siblings Robert Wilson, Jr., and Reta Wilson. Among her extended family were her niece Jessica Black and her husband Danny, along with their children Austin, Arica, and Nicole. Theresa was especially eager to welcome her great-great niece Haisley
Gipson, who was on the way. She also leaves behind two nephews, Brandon and Michael Rewa.

Among Theresa’s closest companions were her best friends, Rich, Peggy and Deno who stood by her side through life’s many moments. Her influence and spirit touched numerous extended family members and friends who remember her with deep affection.

Theresa was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Wilson; her uncles, Kevin, Darryl, and Joe DeFrates; and her aunt, Carol Hinkley.

In her passing, Theresa leaves a profound void, but her memory endures—a beacon of light, laughter, and love that continues to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
