Susan Carol Stebelton, 66, passed away on July 3, 2026. She was born on June 21, 1959, in Mio, Michigan.

Susan’s life was one of perseverance, love, and compassion. As a child, she was part of Easterseals, an experience that reflected the strength and determination she carried throughout her life. She believed that family wasn’t only the one you were born into—it was also the one you built through love, kindness, and friendship. Over the years, she opened her heart to many, becoming a mother and grandmother figure to countless adopted sons, daughters, and grandchildren who loved her dearly.

Susan was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Steven Stebelton; her father, Charles A. Sharp; her mother, Mary Teneyck; her brother, Charles A. Sharp Jr.; and her brother-in-law, Randy Stebelton.

She is survived by her sons, Timothy Spence and Jeremiah Stebelton (Kala); her beloved grandchildren, Kira and Steven; her sisters, Jane Engelhart and Kate Sawyer; her sister-in-law, Paula Stebelton; her nieces, Jennifer Engelhart, Sara Sawyer, and Jessica Conklin; along with many adopted sons, daughters, grandchildren, extended family members, and friends whose lives she touched.

Susan’s family invites those who wish to honor her memory to consider making a donation to The Iron Legacy Dream Ride, supporting the Hometown Foundation and Special Olympics. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to her son, Timothy Spence, to support this meaningful cause.

Susan will be remembered for the love she shared, the family she created, and the kindness she showed to those around her. Though she is gone from our sight, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
