Susan Lynn Mayfield was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Throughout her life she was an artist, entrepreneur, and survivor, and she poured her heart into the people and passions she loved most.
Susan cherished her family above all else. She had a gift for laughter, a playful spirit, and a love for meaningful conversation, especially about art. She found joy in God, coffee, green chilies, music, monkeys, desert sunsets, and the fresh scent of rain.
Creative and expressive, Susan possessed a beautiful voice and was both a poet and a songwriter. She inspired others through her words, her art, and her kindness, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her light and warmth will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Susan is survived by her sisters Mary, Linda, and Jeannie; her children Matthias, Jeanne, Stardust, and Sara; her twelve grandchildren; and her five great-grandchildren. She will be forever loved by her family and remembered by the many lives she touched.
