Sharon Holland, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away surrounded by those who loved her most. Her life was a tapestry woven with kindness, creativity, and quiet strength a legacy that will continue to warm hearts for generations.
Sharon was a woman of many talents and simple joys. She found peace in her garden, delight in a good book, and satisfaction in solving puzzles. But her greatest gift was her ability to create whether through sewing, crafting, or the thoughtful ways she showed up for others. One of the most cherished memories among her family is the Christmas stockings she made for everyone each one stitched with care, tradition, and love. They weren’t just decorations; they were symbols of her devotion and the warmth she brought to every holiday season.
She was creative, caring, and giving, never one to seek the spotlight, but always the one who made others feel seen. Sharon had a quiet way of making people feel at home, whether through a thoughtful gesture, a listening ear, or a plate of her favorite treat: fig newtons.
She is survived by her loving husband, Virgil “Red” Holland; her children Tammy (Tom) Cooper, Misty (James) Moore, and Jimmy Baker; her grandchildren Matt Baker, Becky (William) Reynolds, Nora Cooper, Erin (Grant) Leidheiser, and Marshall Henderson; and four great-grandchildren who will grow up hearing stories of her love and laughter.
Sharon also leaves behind her siblings Brenda McNally, NinaAlexis Scott, Sheila Cooper, Bart (Sue) Finkbiner, Wiley (Sigrid) Finkbiner, and Kelly McCormick each of whom shared in the joy of her humor, her generosity, and her unwavering support.
Though she is no longer with us in body, Sharon’s spirit lives on in every garden bloom, every cozy quilt, and every stocking hung with care. Her love was quiet but powerful, and her legacy is stitched into the hearts of all who knew her.
