Richard Anthony Nardone, born on January 3, 1944, in Staten Island, NY, passed away at home in Kalamazoo, MI, on April 4, 2025. A devoted Army veteran, Richard exemplified the spirit of service and dedication throughout his life.
Professionally, Richard forged a successful career as a truck driver, where he was known for his reliability and strong work ethic. His experiences on the road shaped many stories and memories that he shared with friends and family alike.
Beyond his career, Richard had a rich tapestry of interests and hobbies. He was an enthusiastic bowler, finding joy in the sport that allowed him to engage with friends and family. Additionally, his passion for hunting provided him with numerous adventures and cherished moments outdoors. Perhaps most notably, Richard was an aficionado of racecar driving, enjoying the thrill and excitement that came with the sport.
Richard is survived by seven children, many grandchildren, and a host of family members and friends who will remember him fondly. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gertrude Laudenslager, along with his parents, Anthony Nardone and Dorothy Dote.
A celebration of Richard's life will be determined at a later date, where loved ones will gather to honor and reminisce about the indelible mark he left on their lives. His legacy will continue to resonate through the lives he touched and the memories he created.
