Raymond "Butch" Owen Reigle, born on April 20, 1943, in Three Rivers, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, at Rose Arbor Place in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know. Butch is survived by his children, Christine (Steven) Bigelow of Marcellus, Jeffry (Francine) Reigle of New York, Brian Reigle of Marcellus, and Gary Reigle of Vandalia. His legacy lives on through his nine grandchildren—Shantel (Nic) Palmer, Sabrina (Richard) Bovee, Christopher Bigelow, Stephanie (Andrew) Trosin, Brianna (Christopher) Ferns, Logan Reigle, Dalton Reigle, Taylor Reigle, and Kaidence Reigle—as well as his ten great-grandchildren: Gavin, Lia, Jackson, Ethan, Landon, Mason, Bailey, Izabelle, Braydon, and Callum. He is also remembered by his four siblings—Arden (Jennie) Reigle, John Reigle, Janet Medsker, and Susan Doyle—and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who treasured his warmth and kindness.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Harry and Verna Reigle, and his brother, David Reigle.
Butch enjoyed a variety of pastimes that brought him joy, including watching or listening to games featuring the Detroit Tigers, Lions, and the University of Michigan. He was an avid Euchre player, and he delighted in the thrill of buying pull tabs and up ups, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on September 14, 2025, at VFW Post 4054, located at 53550 M-40 in Marcellus, Michigan, starting at 2:00 PM. This gathering of family and friends will provide an opportunity to share memories and celebrate his life.
