Randall "Randy" Knerr, born April 8, 1961, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away on September 9, 2026, in Kalamazoo.

Randy was a quiet and reserved man who was perfectly content in his own company. Though he tended to keep to himself, those who knew him understood that beneath his introverted nature was an incredibly kind soul.

Intelligent and detail-oriented, Randy was known in his family as the one who remembered the dates and details others might forget. He had a curious mind and enjoyed spending time reading and researching online, particularly topics related to spirituality and self-help.

Randy was also a devoted Detroit Lions fan who rarely missed watching a game on television. His Lions sweatshirt was a favorite, and cheering on his team was something he genuinely enjoyed. Music was another love, especially rock and roll. Mick Jagger was his favorite singer, and the Rolling Stones held the top spot among his favorite bands. And when it came to food, a good plate of pasta was always welcome.

Among the memories his family holds dear are childhood adventures spent camping and walking the Mackinac Bridge, simple moments that became lasting pieces of their shared story.

Randy is survived by his mother, Jacqueline Knerr, and his sister, Jaimee Knerr. He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Knerr.

Randy lived life quietly and on his own terms. He did not need to be surrounded by crowds or constant activity to be content. His family hopes he will be remembered for exactly who he was: a thoughtful, intelligent, deeply introverted man with a gentle nature and, above all, a truly kind soul.
