Mr. Phillip Lamar Sharp transitioned from earth to glory on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. He was born on September 10, 1972, in Helena, Arkansas, to Helena Tose and Glover Sharp. He was raised in Fort Wayne, IN by Berlee and Clyde Mayes. Phillip accepted Christ at a young age and was known for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and deep love for his family. He was also a naturally athletic individual who enjoyed sports throughout his life. Phillip graduated from Snider High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He spent his working years in various fields, including heavy equipment operator at Edward C. Levy in Butler, IN and Denso Manufacturing in Battle Creek, MI.

Phillip enjoyed fishing, dancing, and spending time at social gatherings with family and friends. He was known for his generous spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love for those around him. In 2008, he met the love of his life, Cassaundra Faye Baker. Their friendship blossomed into a loving relationship in 2010, and they were united in marriage on December 3, 2018. Phillip cherished his family and friendships, leaving behind countless memories that will be treasured for years to come. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Phillip was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mother: Helena Tose, Brothers: Charles Sharp and Anthony Sharp, Stepson: Anthony Paul DeWayne Shipp, Granddaughter: Tiana Hunt, Brother in laws: Joseph Shipp and Donald Ray Shipp. He leaves to cherish his memory: Wife: Cassaundra Sharp (Battle Creek, MI), Father: Glover (Ruby) Sharp (Helena, AK), Bonus Parents: Berlee and Clyde Mayes (Fort Wayne, IN), Stepdaughters: Cynthia (Marcus) Tucker and Roberta “RoRo” Baker both of (Battle Creek, MI), Stepsons: Larry Shipp (Battle Creek, MI), and Jeffrey Payne (Fort Wayne, IN), Brothers: Thomas Tose (Indianapolis, IN) and Selvan Sharp (Helena, AK), Sisters: Pamela Sharp (Helena, AK) and Lucille “Bobby” Williams, (Fort Wayne, IN), Best Friends/Brothers: Otis (Jennifer) King, and Mark (Patricia) Hall both of (Fort Wayne, IN), Sister-in-laws: Valerie (George) Clemmer, Janice Shipp, and Delores Shipp all of (Battle Creek, MI), Brother-in-law: Jessie (Nicole) Thompkins (Jackson, MI), Nieces: Lashana Brewer and Katrina (Mack) Stevenson (Fort Wayne, IN), Great Nieces: Jaszmine Whitt, Bre’Hasha Williams and Santiana Williams, (Fort Wayne, IN), Great Nephews: DeMarco Whitt and Sanchez Williams Jr. (Fort Wayne, IN) God daughter: Arowynn King (Fort Wayne, IN), Special Stepson: Anthony Paul DeWayne Shipp (deceased), Special Grandson: Marcus Tucker II (Houston, TX), Special Granddaughter: R’Mani Baker (Battle Creek, MI) and a host of grandchildren, cousins, and friends.
