Paul D. Butcher, born June 27, 1981, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on August 1, 2026, in Three Rivers, Michigan. His sudden passing is a profound loss to all who knew and cherished him.

Paul showed an appreciation for both technology and the beauty of the outdoors. He began cultivating these interests early in life, leading to a lifelong love for gadgets and the natural world. An artistic soul, Paul found great joy in drawing, creating pieces that reflected his unique perspective and spirit.

Paul was the owner of Paul's Property Maintenance, a landscaping business he poured his heart into. He took pride in serving his clients and providing quality services.

Some of Paul's most treasured memories were made alongside his father while hunting. The time they spent together outdoors helped forge a bond and instilled in Paul a deep appreciation for family and tradition. Whether enjoying quiet moments by the water fishing or participating in the rhythm of the seasons in the woods, these experiences remained close to his heart.

Family was central to Paul’s life. He is survived by his two daughters, Frankie Butcher and Kendra Butcher. Paul also leaves behind his devoted sisters, Amanda ( Matthew) Staggs, Patty (Tony) Birman, and Missy (Dan) Dever; nieces and nephew, Amara Rayman, Lillian Hatfield and Jay Jameson, as well as many other nieces, nephews and friends.  Also left to treasure his memory is his dear friend, Linda Leafdale, who was always there for Paul, even when others turned their backs. 

Paul was preceded in death by his father, Terry Butcher; his mother, Dawn Butcher; and his brother, David Butcher. Their memories burned brightly in his heart, and he honored them in the way he lived his life, especially in recent years.

Over the past two years, Paul worked hard to turn his life around, showing immense strength, determination, and resilience. Those who were part of his journey witnessed his dedication and transformative growth, and they take great comfort and pride in his accomplishments.

Paul’s legacy is one of perseverance, love of family, creativity, and a deep generosity of spirit. He will be remembered for his gentle humor, artistic talents, and the unwavering commitment he had for those he loved.
