Our loving mother Pamela Joy Winters (Henry) was born October 9,1943 in Cadillac, Michigan to Wilma M. Henry-Nienhuis and Milton Ivan Henry passed away on August 31, 2026, in Galesburg, Michigan and has joined her Heavenly Father and family in Heaven.

Her story in life began after graduating from Cadillac High School. She married, began raising a family, and worked throughout the years. Before starting her family, she had worked at St John’s manufacturing in payroll. Then on to various jobs over the years at the Cadillac Evening Newspaper, and the Cadillac Airport, where she typed reports, completed weather observations and assisted with aircraft fueling. She also worked at Cadillac Industrial Supply for several years, followed by the Salvation Army Store and then The Curry House where she cooked and provided dietary care for the patients in the assisted living and memory care until she retired.

Our Mother was a strong, hardworking, and intelligent woman who often worked two and three jobs at a time while raising six children on her own. She even attended college courses in the evening. Because of her example, we learned at a young age how to cook, clean a house, and can food. She was never satisfied until every shelf was filled with food for the winter months.

She was active in her local churches and community programs, forming lifelong friendships along the way. She was never afraid to pack up six children and take us camping—whether down by the Boardman River, Crooked Lake, or countless other wonderful places that became treasured memories.

Mom also had a soft spot in her heart at an early age for animals; especially cats and Dogs, with many rescues along the way! She had been known to take feral animals into animal shelters for spaying and neutering.

In the end our mother truly enjoyed her 22 grandchildren and 19 great children and had developed unique bonds with each of them. She loved to travel and would go any chance she got to see them whether it was in Tennessee, Florida or Idaho. She also enjoyed going to concerts with her girlfriends and shopping at the flea markets in search of old bottles for her collection. We will miss our mom and always remember who she was and what she meant to each of us. She was the strongest woman we have ever known. We will see you in Heaven one day.

Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, Wilma Maria Nienhuis (Henry) and Milton Ivan Henry. She is survived by her six children, Becky and David Matthews of Nampa, Idaho, Cheryl Treadwell of Cadillac, MI, Shanon and Stephanie Treadwell of Kalamazoo, MI, Tamara and Mike Mitchell of Murfreesboro, TN, Vance and Jody Winters of Manton, MI and Melody Slocumb of Manton, MI; her sister, Sharon Feree of Cadillac, MI; and brother, Jerry and Wendy Henry of Mancelona, MI.
