It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Norma Jo Reid, born on July 27, 1960, who left us on September 8, 2025. Norma was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth and enthusiasm.
Norma was a devoted mother to her children, Taylor and Dylan, always finding joy in their achievements and activities. An enthusiastic supporter, she could often be found cheering passionately at swim meets, where her loud cheers and infectious spirit made her a recognizable presence among parents and swimmers alike. Her encouragement and warmth extended beyond her own children; she was known as the neighborhood mom, welcoming all children with open arms. Many fond memories were created in her home, where every kid knew they could come for a treat, a moment of rest, or simply to enjoy her company.
Norma's love for her family extended to her grandchildren, Ellie and Malachi, whom she cherished and spoiled with affection. She often referred to her dog, Zoey, as her "fur baby" and delighted in taking her for walks, enjoying the simple pleasures of life with her loyal companion.
An artistic soul, Norma had a passionate love for movies, particularly horror films, which she lovingly passed down to her daughter. Her artistic flair and bubbly personality made her a cherished friend, and she was known for her ability to create an atmosphere of joy wherever she went. An inherently kind and supportive individual, she had a unique talent for making those around her feel valued and loved, brightening the lives of friends and family alike.
Norma leaves behind her cherished children, Taylor and Dylan, her beloved grandchildren, Ellie and Malachi, her sisters, Janet and Peggy, and her best friend, Cindy, as well as many other family members and friends who will deeply miss her vibrant presence.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Johanna Staggs, and her sister, Mary. Her legacy of kindness, support, and love will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew her.
