Mary Nola Bennett

Mary N. Bennett of Battle Creek, MI formerly Punta Gorda, FL passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025. Mary grew up in Union City and had to leave school after the 8th grade to help care for her 10 brothers and sisters. She went on to own a Montgomery Ward catalog store, several businesses and earned her realtor license. Mary could play any musical instrument by ear, with her favorites  being the organ and piano which she loved playing for her church that she deeply loved. She enjoyed cardmaking as well as receiving cards from around the world. Mary had a sharp sense of humor, which she kept to the end. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Richard Bennett; her parents; all of her siblings; and a granddaughter, Nichole McMillan. Mary is survived by her children, Jayne (Gary) Converse,  Robert (Mercy) Kandlstorfer, and Penny(Gary)McMillan; 2 grandchildren, Jordan McMillan and Gabriella Kandlstorfer; as well many nieces and nephews.
