Marvin R. Hite, 60, of Richland, Michigan, passed away on August 22, 2026, in Richland. He was born on March 31, 1966, in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Marvin will be remembered as a kind, giving, and funny man who loved his family. He also had a special love for his two dogs, Butch and Milo. Butch recently preceded him in death, and that bond was one that held a special place in Marvin’s heart.

He is survived by his daughters, Skyler (Harley David Ring) Slack and Miranda Kilbourn; his stepchildren, Dustin (Elizabeth) Hulsey, Amber Hulsey, and Michael Seybert; and his four grandsons, Hunter, Jaiden, Angelo, and Karter. He is also survived by his sister Lindsey Blowers and her husband, Jason, his brother Michael (Lori) Hite, and his sister Marcy Merrick. He leaves behind his nephews Chase, Zachary, Logan, Aiden, and Greg, as well as his stepmother, Vicky Swan. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Vestle Hite; his mother, Patty Garrett; his stepfather, Doug Garrett; and his sisters, Melinda Hite-Straley and Michelle Jones.

A Celebration of Life for Marvin will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at VFW Post 7596, 13549 W. M-96, Augusta, Michigan 49012.

Marvin’s life was marked by love for his family, a generous heart, and a sense of humor that will be fondly remembered. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
