A proud product of Portage Central High School, Mark's journey through life began where he first met his beloved Meg in 1980, and their high school romance blossomed into a lifelong partnership. Their bond was not just one of love, but of friendship, laughter, and mutual support, as Mark committed himself to a career in OTR, enabling Meg to embrace her cherished role as a homemaker and nurturing mother to their four children: Mitchell, Rylee, Greyson, and Evan.

Mark's spirit was intrinsically tied to his family, instilling in them a profound love for sports and community. He dedicated countless hours to fostering their passion for athletics, whether it was through travel ball or cheering them on at numerous sporting events. Each game held the capacity for laughter, stories, and the timeless moments that solidified their bonds.

Mark's personality shone through in his lightheartedness; he was a jokester at heart, always ready with a practical joke or a playful game that brought smiles to faces and warmth to hearts. He approached life with kindness, earning the affection and respect of all who crossed his path. Those lucky enough to experience his hospitality were often met with his infectious laughter and generosity.

An ardent fan of baseball, Mark was ever-supportive of the Detroit Tigers, proclaiming "Go Tigers" with uncontainable enthusiasm. His love for the sport was rivaled only by his passion for Lions Football, where every game was an opportunity for spirited camaraderie with family and friends.

Mark's legacy extends beyond his immediate family; he cherished and adored his three grandchildren, Everett, Hudson, and Avery, deepening the joy within his already vibrant family life. Through the years, he cultivated countless memories with them, showcasing his gentle spirit and dedication to family values.

He is survived by his loving wife Meg, their four children Mitchell, Rylee (Ryan), Greyson, and Evan, and his cherished grandchildren, alongside numerous extended family members and friends who will undoubtedly miss his kindness, humor, and affectionate presence.
