Lynn Micky McGivern, age 78, left his earthly home in Battle Creek on Friday, May 15, 2026. He was born on September 17, 1947, in Bay City to Thomas and Linda Anna (Pacholka) McGivern.

Lynn was a talented contractor who specialized in siding application and window installation. He took great pride in the intricate peak sunburst siding patterns he created throughout his career. Lynn enjoyed stopping to talk with fishermen to see what was biting, salvaging treasures from the side of the road, and embracing a carefree spirit that carried him across the country over the years.

Lynn is survived by his six children: Lori (Kevin) Ziolkowski, Michael (Michelle) McGivern, Jennifer (Jeff) Behmlander, Micky Niezgoda, Thomas “TJ” (Chris) McGivern, and Mary Anna McGivern; his grandchildren, Tasha (Alex) Katzvinsky, Amanda Ziolkowski, Noah and Bailey McGivern; Alexis, Jacob, Chase, and Oliver Niezgoda; and Payton Behmlander; and his five great-grandchildren, Adrianna, Emilie, and Naomi Katzvinsky; and Orhla and Gannon Niezgoda. He is also survived by his lifelong companion, Patricia Randall and her son Michael; his sister, Sally Dice; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Linda McGivern; his brothers, James and Wayne McGivern; his sister-in-law, Arlene McGivern; and his brother-in-law, Dave Emme.
