Leo John Costigan III, born on October 6, 1961, in Marshfield, Missouri, passed away on February 24, 2026, at the Bronson Battle Creek Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves behind a legacy marked by his deep compassion and caring nature, traits that endeared him to those who knew him.

Leo dedicated many years of his life to working at Quality Converters, but his true passion lay in the world of automobiles. He delighted in the nuances of cars and would often spend his time working on them, a hobby that not only brought him joy but also allowed him to share his skills with family and friends. An avid NASCAR enthusiast, Leo's love for racing extended into his leisure activities, where he enjoyed playing racing games and engaging in spirited discussions about the sport.

In addition to his professional and recreational pursuits, Leo was a member of the Wesleyan Church in Union City, where he nurtured his faith and community ties. His personality shone brightly through his caring and helpful demeanor, even as he faced life's challenges with a stubborn resolve and an unwavering fighter's spirit.

Leo is survived by his loving parents, Leo and Emma Costigan, Jr., as well as his five children: Patricia (Jon) Harrington, Leo (Misty) Costigan, Jeremi (Allie) Costigan, Justyn Costigan, and Terrance (Kennedy) Binion. He was the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who will cherish his memory. His partner in life, Tracy Thomet, has lost not just a companion but a true friend.

He is also survived by his two sisters, Debbie (Mark) Mundell and Kathy (Laura) Costigan, and his best friend, Brad (Holly) Weaver, who stood by him through thick and thin. Leo’s beloved dog, Elenor, was a constant source of comfort and companionship in his life.

Leo was preceded in death by his brother, William Raysor. While he is deeply missed, the impact of his caring spirit and passion for life will resonate in the hearts and memories of all who knew him.
