Larry Polendo

Larry Joe Polendo, 61, of Marshall, Michigan, passed away on June 20, 2025.

Born on December 19, 1963, Larry had a heart that ran deep. He carried a mischievous streak, a booming laugh, and a knack for turning everyday moments into memories people wouldn’t forget—even if they involved pulling a fire alarm now and then. He was a brother, an uncle, and a friend who made life more colorful just by being himself.

Larry had a lifelong love for music—especially loud, unapologetic Rock & Roll. ACDC and Metallica were the soundtrack of his world, often played at full volume and shared with anyone willing to listen.

His K9 companion, Chevy, preceded him in death, but her loyal spirit remained ever near. Faithful, rowdy, and always up for an adventure, they were inseparable in life—true partners in mischief and in heart.

Larry is survived by his sister Christina (David) Davis, and his brothers Reynaldo Polendo and James Eddie (Terrie) Polendo, along with a circle of nieces, nephews, and friends who will always remember his laugh, his stories, and the way he never tried to be anyone but himself.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Reynaldo and Joy Polendo, his sister-in-law Patricia Polendo, and his beautiful niece Amanda Grumeretz.

Larry didn’t ask for much—just a good song, a good laugh, and the company of the people he cared about. We’ll miss him more than he would’ve expected, and maybe more than he would’ve admitted.
