Kevin Michael Underwood, 63, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on June 16, 2026, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was born on April 13, 1963, in Baltimore, Maryland.

Kevin will be remembered as a loyal friend, a devoted family member, and someone whose distinctive voice, contagious laughter, and warm personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He had a gift for making people feel welcome and valued, and throughout his life he formed many meaningful friendships that stood the test of time. Those who knew Kevin best will remember him as a loving and true friend whose presence brought joy to countless lives.

Kevin spent much of his working life as a truck driver and delivery driver. Most recently, he worked in janitorial services at Clara’s on the River, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

Outside of work, Kevin enjoyed spending time playing horseshoes, trying his luck gambling, and sharing good times with family and friends. He appreciated life’s simple pleasures and cherished the relationships he built throughout the years.

Kevin is survived by his special friend, Tracy Lee; his daughter, Megan Underwood; his beloved grandchildren, Olivia and Lucas; his brothers, Tim, Brian, and Greg; many nieces and nephews; and his close niece and nephew, Emma Lee Balch and Ashton Burbank.

In addition to his family, Kevin leaves behind many lifelong friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.

Though he is no longer with us, Kevin’s laughter, kindness, and friendship will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
