Kevin Duane Kendrick, Sr., a passionate fan of life’s simple joys, passed away on June 2, 2026, in Battle Creek, Michigan. Born on September 27, 1967, in Flint, Michigan, Kevin lived a life marked by quiet dedication, warmth, and a genuine love for those around him.

Kevin graduated from high school and went on to pursue a career as a forklift operator within a manufacturing setting. He took pride in his work, contributing diligently and steadily to his field. Though he was a man of few words, his passion for life was unmistakable to those fortunate enough to know him.

He had an infectious love of laughter and was known for his efforts to bring joy and smiles to others. A dedicated fan of the Green Bay Packers, Kevin’s spirited support never waned, even when the team faced challenges on the field. His leisure time often found him immersed in video games or watching basketball and football, passions that brought him comfort and connection.

Kevin leaves behind a loving network of family and friends who cherished him deeply. His sons, Kevin Duane Kendrick, Jr. of Crystal, MN; Keviontae Devione Kendrick of Flint, MI; his brother, Bruce (Curtice) Kendrick of Battle Creek, MI; his sister, Sharonda Boyland, and his brother, Daron Glover, both of Flint, MI, to carry forward his legacy. He was a proud grandfather to Kailyn Kendrick, Kevin Duane Kendrick, III, and Kevin Duane Kendrick, IV. The family circle also includes Toyedda Williams, his niece; Jahaun Kendrick, his nephew; and Tabrice Kendrick, his niece. His long-time girlfriend, Stephanie Thomas, and her son, Marquell Thomas, whom Kevin considered a stepson, shared a special bond with him.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Glover and Esther Dean Talley Banks; his brother, Edward Leroy Kendrick; his sister, Phyllis Ann Kendrick; and his niece, Tabraiyah Shaibrielle Kendrick.

His spirit endures in the laughter he inspired and the memories he created. Kevin Duane Kendrick, Sr. will be remembered as a quiet, passionate soul whose light touched many lives.
