Karen Sue Spear, of Marcellus, MI, passed away on September 5, 2026, in Elkhart, IN at the age of 68. She was born on March 13, 1958, in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

Karen will be remembered for the joy she found in the simple and meaningful things of life. She loved searching for and collecting rocks, and she expressed her creativity through arts and crafts and painting. She took special pleasure in supporting her grandkids at sporting events and treasured the time she spent with her family. Karen also loved nature, flowers, and being out in the country, where she found peace and happiness.

Above all, Karen’s life was centered on the people she loved. She is survived by her sons, Cecil Roy, Ricky Roy, and Harry Roy, who carry forward her memory with love. As well as 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Her family was an important part of her life, and she will be remembered for the care and warmth she shared with them.

Karen was preceded in death by her mother, Mary, and by her brother, Chris.

Those who knew Karen will remember her as someone who appreciated beauty in the world around her, from flowers and open country to the treasured stones she collected and the creative works she made with her hands. Her memory will remain in the hearts of her family and all who knew and loved her.
