Josiah was a loving father, son, brother, grandson and friend. He is survived by his son Josiah George Jr., his mother Danyellé George, and his father Lamarco Beard, his sister Mercedes Kerry, his brother Raidan George and other siblings. He also leaves behind his maternal grandfather Gene Terry and his step-grandmother Paula Terry, his paternal grandfather David Peete, his paternal grandmother Lavator Coleman and many other family members and loved ones. He is preceded by his maternal grandmother Connie George.

Josiah loved to play video games, go fishing, and was into sports such as football and basketball. He loved music with a passion. He was always being mischievous and had a very good sense of humor, he was the clown in the family. He had a big heart and would do anything for anybody.

His mother described him as someone who was loving, funny, and caring. His sister described him as someone who was brilliant, kind and funny. His brother described him as someone who was humorous, a daredevil, and considerate. Josiah was one of those rare people whose mind seemed to work differently than everyone else’s. You could hand him something broken, something everyone else had given up on, and somehow he would bring it back to life. He had a natural intelligence that couldn’t be taught and a curiosity that made him want to understand how everything worked.

Deep down, Josiah was a soft, sensitive, and emotional person. A strength of his was his kindness, and never flaunting his acts of kindness or using it against others. He enjoyed hyping up other people and making them feel good about themselves. Josiah had an incredible gift of making people laugh and feel better, even on their worst days. He made life brighter for everyone around him and will be missed more than words can ever express.

What his family wants others to remember the most about Josiah is his laughter and his smile, and that he loved and adored his son more than anything.
