Joseph Wayne
Worley
December 12, 1973 – April 22, 2026
Joseph Wayne Worley, 52, passed away on April 22, 2026, in Gobles, Michigan. He was born on December 12, 1973, in Columbus, Ohio, to Larry Wayne Worley and Brenda Doreen Worley (Helfrich).
Joe moved many times throughout his childhood due to his father’s military career. Along the way, he learned to adapt quickly, making friends wherever life took him. He was a super kid with a big heart, especially close to his grandfather, who shared stories and jokes that Joe carried with him. He inherited that same sense of humor, passing it down to his own children.
His early church upbringing shaped the man he became, grounding him in strong values. Those who knew Joe often recognized those qualities right away.
Joe was a devoted father and a steady provider for his family. He took pride in his work and built a career as a master electrician and nuclear technician, serving in supervisory roles over the years. He was known for being hardworking, determined, and committed. His children saw that same work ethic in him every day.
Joe found peace in the outdoors and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved spending time with his son, running dogs, and hunting deer. He enjoyed fishing along the river and time at the beach, simple moments that meant the most to him.
Joe is survived by his parents, Larry Worley and Brenda Worley; his children, Rebecca Legg (Zachary) and Frederick Blake Worley (Kasey); his grandchild, Kolton; and his brother, Curtis Worley (Marisol), along with his niece Cedes and nephew Justin Worley (Megan)
Joe’s passing leaves a deep void in the lives of all who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his strength, his humor, and the values he lived by.
Cremation has been entrusted to Family First Funeral & Cremation Services. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date to honor and remember Joseph.
