Joseph T. Kozubowski

Joseph T. Kozubowski, 83, of Grand Junction, MI, passed away on May 28, 2025. Joseph (Joe) was born on December 27, 1941, in Chicago, IL, to Frank and Valerie Kozubowski (nee Klis). He grew up in Chicago and retired from the City of Chicago after 30 years of service. Joe was active in Chicago politics and the local Chicago Polish Community, and was also a lifelong White Sox fan.

He was married to the love of his life, Jacqueline (Jackie) J. Kozubowski (nee Jungman), for over 62 years. Together they had two children, Jill (Jeffrey) Siegfried and Joseph (Emily) Kozubowski, and was the proudest Papa to Zachary (Rebecca Galer) Siegfried, Lauren Siegfried, Isabelle Kozubowski, Grace Kozubowski, and Caroline Kozubowski. Beloved brother of the late Thomas (Stella) Kozubowski, late Stanley (Marianne Bonk) Kozubowski, and late Mary Lou Goder. Beloved brother-in-law to Frank (Judy) Jungman and the late Ben (Shirley) Jungman, Marion (Ray) Nice, and Margaret Jungman. Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Joe will be remembered for his love of golf and his eight holes-in-one at Cog Hill Golf/ Country Club (Lemont, IL) and Crestview Golf Course (Kalamazoo, MI). He loved listening and dancing to polka music with his lovely wife, Jackie, as well as spending time with his grandchildren. Joe was known for always doing the right thing and helping out his family when they needed him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Joe’s memory. The family wishes to thank the many caregivers who impacted his fulfilled life.
