John Michael Olman

John Michael Olman went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 12, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on September 2, 1950, in Lansing, Michigan, John lived a fulfilling life that revolved around his family.

John took immense pride in his family and found incomparable joy in his role as a husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Olman, and his three children: Andrew (Karissa) Olman, Jessica (Daniel) Grunewald, and Ian Olman. He also leaves behind four adoring grandchildren: Ellen Jane, Lucas Olman, Leena, and Owen Grunewald, who filled his life with happiness and love.

He is also remembered by his sisters, Sheila Buchanan and Mary Ellen Fine, who shared in his many adventures and cherished memories. John now joins his parents, Norman Olman and Mary Olman (McCarthy).

John was known for his sense of humor, which endeared him to everyone around him. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and engaging in lively discussions about guns, flashlights, and politics—his passion for conversation made him a true friend to many.

A Visitation celebrating John's life will be held at First Baptist Church in Lawton, Michigan, on May 17, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM, followed by a Memorial Service at the same location at 12:00 PM. Both events will provide an opportunity for family, friends, and loved ones to gather and honor the life John led.

John Michael Olman was a man of quiet dedication, known not only for his professional achievements but, more importantly, for the love and devotion he had for his Lord and family. His memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him
