John Krueger, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on January 5, 2026. Born into a loving family, John was a proud graduate of River Valley High School in Three Oaks, MI. He dedicated much of his life to the craft of roofing, where he earned respect and admiration from colleagues and customers alike.

John’s military service in the Army instilled in him a strong sense of patriotism and community. After his service, he became a cherished member of the American Legion Post #204 in Three Oaks, where he carried forward the camaraderie and values he held dear.

John reveled in the joys of life, particularly through his beloved hobbies and interests. He was known for his skills in bowling and darts and had a passion for woodworking. Hunting and fishing were not just activities for him; they were cherished moments spent outdoors. As an avid sportsman, he made a mark as a talented softball pitcher and, in later years, discovered a love for golf that brought him several joyful afternoons on the course.

He created lasting memories with his children, particularly fond evenings spent smelt dipping. Those times, filled with laughter, where they would compete in eating contests over their catches, remain dear to his family. John also cherished his own childhood, where he spent sunny days at the beach and exploring the woods near his family home in Union Pier, MI.

John is survived by his loving children: Brandy and her husband Will Glick; his son, John Krueger II, and his fiancée, Elizabeth; and Hope Taylor. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren: Liam, Ethan, Hallie, and Hayden. He is also remembered by his brothers, Mike Krueger and George Krueger.

He was predeceased by his father, Kenneth Krueger; his mother, Laura Stephens; his brothers, Dave and Terry Krueger; and his daughter, Traci Krueger. His loss is profoundly felt by all who knew him, and he will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the joy he brought into the lives of so many. John Krueger’s spirit will forever shine brightly in the memories of his family and friends.
