Jessica E. Burgess

Jessica E. Burgess, a beloved presence in the lives of many, left this world unexpectedly on September 3, 2025, in Kalamazoo, MI. Born on October 30, 1989, in Kalamazoo, MI, Jessica brought joy and love to everyone she encountered.

Jessica possessed a vibrant spirit that shone through in her unwavering love for her family and friends. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Joseph, and a loving mother to her children, Sophia, Rylei, Hadley, and Phoenix. Jessica also cherished her relationship with her stepson, Alex, and was deeply proud of her family.

In addition to her immediate family, Jessica is survived by her mother, Tammy (Jeffrey) Kemmerlin, her siblings, Derrik (Tiffany) Townsend, Malina, and Sebastian Calderon, as well as her adored grandparents, Alan and Veronica Johnson. Her legacy continues through a network of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins, including Connie (Mike) LoBretto, Jack Johnson, Angie (Ryan) Michaud, Brian (Melissa) Monaghen, Reann, Brody, Nathan (Morgan) Johnson, Emily (Blain) Wood, Christian Beck, Michael and Jennifer LoBretto, and Victoria, Brice, Dillon, Kayla, Parker, and Arianna.

Jessica's proudest accomplishments were found in the happiness of her family; her greatest joys were her husband and children. She was deeply cherished by all who knew her, and her memory will remain a source of comfort.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for September 15, 2025, at Vicksburg Cemetery, located at 333 W Hwy St, Vicksburg, MI 49097, beginning at 1:00 PM. Jessica touched the hearts of many, and she will be missed dearly. Her spirit will live on in the memories of her loved ones and the lives she has impacted.
