Jeremy Allen Miles

Jeremy Allen Miles, 44, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on August 23, 2025, after a courageous battle with colon cancer.

Born on March 31, 1981, Jeremy was the beloved son of Viola May Miles and Larry Mac Carlton. A proud University of Michigan fan and avid hunter, Jeremy loved spending his time in the woods with his cousin Johnny Burt and friends.

Jeremy’s greatest joy was his children, Atlee, Evy, and Gabriel, whom he loved deeply and spoke of often. He is also survived by his siblings Jason Burt (Melanie), Mikey Jankowski, Bryon Miles, Jennifer Miles, and Brandy Diller; his grandmother Helen Burt; his uncle Russ Burt, Jr. (Carrie); and his grandfather Russ Burt, Sr. (Lynn); along with extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Jeremy faced cancer with grit and grace. Though the disease spread to his lungs, he met each day with determination and hope. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the University of Michigan and to all the doctors, nurses, caregivers, and friends such as Matt Casey who walked alongside Jeremy throughout his journey.
