Jennifer Ellen Geis-Miller, a beloved wife and mother, passed away on December 15, 2025, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was born on July 14, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois, and brightened the lives of those around her with her warm spirit and nurturing presence.
Jennifer's life was marked by her deep commitment to her family. She married her devoted husband, Christopher Paul Miller, on July 24, 1988, in Glenview, Illinois, and together they shared a loving partnership for 37 wonderful years. She was the proud mother of three children, Paige Miller, Erin (Yjaden Wood), and Cameron Miller, each of whom she supported with unwavering encouragement and love.
A passionate naturalist, gardener and beekeeper, Jennifer found joy in nurturing plants and creating beautiful spaces with her hands. Her cooking skills were exceptional, and she delighted friends and family alike with her culinary creations. Jennifer's talents extended beyond her home, as she served as a Xerces Ambassador, where she educated and inspired many about invertebrate and pollinator conservation—a cause that she deeply cared for.
Jennifer is remembered fondly by her father, Fred Geis; her uncle, Carl Geis; and her aunt, Wanda Meehan (Pat Meehan) and her sister Laurel Geis. She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Geis. Jennifer Geis-Miller will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, as her legacy of love and dedication to family, nature, and community endures in the hearts of those she touched.
