Jane Arlene Groscost, was born on July 31, 1936, and peacefully departed this life on April 13, 2025, in Constantine, Michigan. A cherished matriarch, Jane's vibrant spirit and boundless energy endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Described as “ the energizer bunny,” she was always on the go, exuding warmth and enthusiasm in every endeavor.

Jane married her beloved husband, Robert Groscost, on November 12, 1954, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kalamazoo. They shared many years of love and companionship until his passing, leaving a legacy of a family united by their affection and shared memories.

She is survived by her two daughters, Lynn (Jeff) Gentry and Sandra (Gene) Simmons, who carry forward her spirit and values. Jane took great pride in her four grandchildren: Ryan (Alexis) Wilson, Stephanie (Collin) Morlock, David (Heather) Simmons, and Michael (Amy) Simmons, as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who lit up her life with their laughter and love.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Kenneth and Ora (Hine) Babcock, along with her husband Robert, and siblings, Dean and John Babcock. Jane leaves behind a cherished legacy, marked by the joy she found in gardening, tending to her chickens, caring for her beloved cat Oreo, and hunting for treasures at garage sales.

As we celebrate Jane's remarkable life, we remember her strength, her nurturing spirit, and the love she so freely gave to her family and friends. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to resonate in the lives she touched.
