James Kevin LaForce

In loving memory of James Kevin LaForce, who was born on September 27, 1959, in Battle Creek, Michigan, and unexpectedly passed away on December 8, 2025.

James was a 1977 graduate of Lakeview High School. A man of many talents, his various roles included truck driver, skilled maintenance technician, roofer, plumber, and auto mechanic, where he worked alongside his father at Joe’s Garage.

In his younger years, James enjoyed talking on the CB radio and was a lifelong NASCAR fan. He was well known for his stubborn streak and his love of Dodge trucks. James spent his quiet time in a rocking chair, often at the LaForce family cabin in Irons, Michigan, and recently found friendship with his loyal dog, Jezzee, by his side enjoying the warmth of the wood-burning stove.

James is survived by his companion, Becky Engle, and his beloved daughter, Ambra LaForce. He is also survived by his siblings, Joseph (Gloria) LaForce III, Gregory LaForce, and Geri Rae DeBilzan, along with many nieces and nephews. James is preceded in death by his parents, Joyce and Joseph LaForce Jr., and his oldest brother, Michael Gallagher.
