Florence E. Ewers

Florence E. Ewers, of Coldwater passed away peacefully June 13, 2025 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility. Per Florence’s wishes cremation has taken place and, there will be no funeral service. Florence was born February 6, 1931 to Ross D. and Jeanette D. (Wilkins) Rubley in Kinderhook, Michigan. She attended Coldwater Schools, graduating in 1949. On June 25, 1950, she married Wier Jr. Ewers and they celebrated 58 years together before Wier passed away in 2008. Florence will best be remembered as a loving, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. She also will be remembered for her many talents, which included, needlework of any kind, sewing, and upholstering furniture. All of which were self-taught and flawless. Florence is survived by her children, Susan Helm of Coldwater, Jeffery (Melissa) Ewers of College Station, TX, James Ewers of Coldwater, Amy (David) Howell of Ocala, FL; 9 grandchildren;14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Florence was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Michael Helm; her brothers, Garrett and Dale Rubley; her sisters, Thelma Endicott and Flora Hauska; a niece, nephew and a great granddaughter. The family of Florence Ewers would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility, Dr. Daoud and Family First Funeral Cremation Services for the exceptional care and service given to us and our mother.
