Edward Paul Vallance, a sweet and kind soul, left this world on March 3, 2026, at the Medilodge of Lansing. Born in Lansing, Michigan, on January 11, 1950, Ed was known for his outgoing nature and his remarkable ability to forgive. He never met a stranger, always welcoming new faces with open arms and a warm smile.

Ed proudly served his country as a member of the Army, achieving two honorable discharges during his service. His time in the military was a significant part of his life, and he enjoyed reminiscing about those days, often sharing stories with family and friends who would gather around to listen.

In addition to his military experiences, Ed had a passion for western and war movies, relishing the camaraderie and themes of bravery and loyalty depicted in these films. His love for storytelling extended to his cherished moments spent with family, where he found immense joy in hanging out with them.

He is survived by his two daughters, Michelle (Anton) Reiner and Jennifer (Ron) Taylor, who will always remember him as a devoted father. He found great happiness in being a grandfather to eight grandchildren and to seven great-grandchildren, embracing each moment with love and pride. Ed is also survived by his dear sister, Helen (Brian) Farr, who has shared countless memories with him throughout their lives.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Norma Jean Cox and Norval Vallance; and five siblings, Penny, Paula Jean, Vernie, David, and Ricky.

As we remember Edward, we celebrate a life filled with kindness, bravery, and an enduring spirit that touched many lives. His legacy of warmth will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
