Edward Dey Johnson, age 94, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026. He was born on March 16, 1932, in Orange, New Jersey.

Edward lived a life marked by quiet strength, humility, and honor. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, he carried the values of service, dedication, and integrity with him throughout his life. He was a simple man who found contentment in life’s everyday moments. Those who knew him will remember his steady presence, his unwavering character, and the example he set through a life well lived.

Edward is survived by his children, Edward Dey Johnson II, Brett Hoger (Sandra) Johnson, and Reneè Johnson; and by his grandchildren, Edward Dey Johnson III, Jeremiah Johnson, Zachariah Johnson, Athena Johnson, and Jacob Thomas-Lee Wheeler.

He will be remembered with love by his family and all who knew him.
