Diana Mae Avery, 70, of Three Rivers, Michigan passed away on January 25, 2026 at home surrounded by her family. She was born November 6, 1955 in Paw Paw, Michigan the daughter of Robert and Mable (Moon) Ellsworth.
Diana married Terry Slavings on August 14, 1976 in Paw Paw and they remained married until Terry passed away. She later married Ray Avery on December 31, 2004 in Three Rivers and they have been happily married for 22 years. Diana worked at several places during her lifetime, making many friends along the way. A few of the places she worked were Village Market and Save-A-Lot in Three Rivers, as well as TH Plastics. She was loved by many of her co-workers because she was a sweet and loving lady.
Diana will always be remembered as a huge Miami Dolphins Fan. She also bowled on several leagues with her family. She loved her soap opera's and western shows, and later in her life she started to crochet. Diana loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was a long time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles where she made many long time friendships. She also had a love for her pet dogs named Sebastian, Athena and Bear.
Remaining to cherish Diana's memory are her husband, Ray Avery of Three Rivers, MI; her children, Larry Slavings of Comanche, OK, Steven Slavings of Three Rivers, MI, John (Katie) Avery of Three Rivers, MI, Tiffany (Anthony) Griffis of Elkhart, IN, and Kelly Lamb of Decatur, MI; grandchildren, Logan, Alex, Jacob, Astrix, Miragia, Dart and Xander; as well as son-in-law, Dave Oakes. She will be missed by all her friends and extended family members as well. Diana was preceded in death by her first husband, Terry Slavings; her loving mother, Mable Ellsworth and stepfather, Leo Probst; as well as her loving daughter, Julie Mae Oakes.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Diana on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the Three Rivers Eagles, 715 E Hoffman St, Three Rivers, MI 49093 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
