Daniel Lee Kauffman, 45, born on October 13, 1980, in Moses Lake, Washington, passed away on May 21, 2026, in Allegan County, Michigan.

Daniel was a man who found joy in life’s simple moments and in the people he loved most. He proudly served in the United States Army, earning numerous medals during his time of service, a reflection of his dedication and commitment.

Outside of his military service, Daniel enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. He could often be found listening to music, singing along to his favorite songs, or showing off his moves on the dance floor. He enjoyed an occasional pickup basketball game and had a creative side that shined through his handmade jewelry crafted from gemstones. Daniel was also incredibly handy and took pride in working on house projects and fixing things with his own hands.

Above all else, Daniel’s greatest joy in life was being a father. His love for his children was at the center of who he was, and they remained his proudest accomplishment.

Daniel leaves behind his beloved children, Austin Michael Kauffman, Wyatt Lee Kauffman, and Elly Lyn Kauffman; his mother, Dawn Kauffman; his sister, Devon (Jay) Farkas; his brother, Damon (Lisa) Knapp; along with numerous nieces, extended family members, and friends who will miss him deeply.

Daniel will be remembered for his love of family, his creativity, his humor, and the many ways he brought energy and life to those around him. His memory will continue to live on through the stories shared, the lessons he passed on, and the love he gave so freely.
