In Loving Memory of Cynthia Darlene Spinelli
February 27, 1953 – July 28, 2026

Cynthia was born and raised in Clarksville, Tennessee, and moved to Michigan as a teenager, where she built a life centered on faith, family, and love.

She was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and a regular attendee of Freshwater Church in Paw Paw, Michigan. She adored her dogs.

Cynthia was the heart of our family—a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and faithful friend. Above all else, she was a woman of unwavering faith who loved God with all her heart. Her kindness, compassion, strength, and endless love touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She lived her life as an example of grace, always putting others before herself and reminding those around her of the importance of faith, family, and forgiveness.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, as well as her brother, Philip Spinelli. She is survived by her loving husband, Douglas Kratina, and her children: Louis Schallhorn, Ronald Schallhorn, Maryann Brigham, Cynthia Jackson, Angel Reyna, Destiny Jennings, and Louis Schallhorn II. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, two sisters, Brea and Cathy Spinelli; a brother, Randy Spinelli; as well as multiple nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were forever changed by her love, wisdom, and generosity.

There are simply no words that can express the void her passing leaves behind. She was truly one of a kind—the best mother, grandmother, wife, and friend anyone could ever ask for. To know Cynthia was to know unconditional love, unwavering faith, and a heart that never stopped giving. Her legacy will continue to live on through every life she touched and every lesson she shared.

We take comfort in knowing that Cynthia is now resting peacefully in the arms of her Savior, and we look forward to the day we will be reunited with her again.
