Buddy L. Buell, Jr., age 63, of Kalamazoo passed away at his home on August 26, 2026. He was born March 19, 1963 in Kalamazoo, the son of Clayton and Sherry (Julian) Buell. Buddy attended Kalamazoo Schools and worked at Michigan-Nebraska factory before leaving to do heating and cooling. He then started his own cleaning business that he ran for over 20 years. 

Buddy had a personality that brought people laughter, and had a strong presence that people loved being around. He loved spending his free time at the race track, and working on his race car. Buddy loved driving stock cars and loved being around family and friends at and away from the track. He also enjoyed the bowling alley where he was on a bowling league and would take his kids on Sundays along with many other friends and family. More than anything, Buddy loved his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He treasured the time spent with family and friends.

Surviving are his lovely wife of 40 years, Virginia Buell; his sons, Clayton Buell III and Cory Buell; his daughter, Calisa Buell; grandchildren,    Clayton IV, Cory Jr., Ellie, Colin, Jaxton, Roman, Emilia and Colsen; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Jimmy, Terry and Ron; his sisters, Patty, Penny, Debbie, Cindy and Diane.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 1:00pm at First Free Will Baptist Church of Comstock.
