Calvin was born April 6, 1957 in Benton Harbor, MI to the late Orlena Pargo and William Norwood. He was the only child of Orlena. Calvin was raised by his grandmother, Mrs. Lena Pargo, along with several of his cousins. Calvin was educated in the Benton Harbor area school system. He enjoyed fishing and BBQ's with family and friends. Calvin read his Bible daily and always started his day with the Lord.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Heboney Brooks-Davis and her husband Lamar Davis, Princess R. Williams; his brothers, Sergio White and William Norwood, Jr.; sisters, Carmen Norwood and Tracy Norwood; his special friend, Vanessa Williams; 20 nieces and nephews, as well as multiple great nieces and nephews; his first cousin whom he affectionately called "The Rock", Betty Whitfield; and a host of cousins and friends. Calvin was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Howard and Lena Pargo and Bill and Gracie Norwood; sister, Karen Washington; and brothers, Michael Norwood and Gerald Norwood.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 3, 2026 beginning at 1:00pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church 831 McGuigan Ave., Benton Harbor, MI 49022.
