Brent A. Bean, 72, of Sawyer, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on October 8, 2026. He was born on May 22, 1954, in Maquoketa, Iowa.

Brent was a U.S. Navy veteran and a man of faith whose life was marked by warmth, kindness, and steady devotion to the people around him. He was known as someone who was always happy, a great guy who accepted everybody, and those qualities left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He worked for Cook Nuclear Plant and retired after 27 years of service. Beyond his career, Brent found joy in the simple and meaningful parts of life. He enjoyed beekeeping and farming. He also took pleasure in mowing the lawn, watching the Discovery Channel, and was a big Harry Potter fan. These interests reflected a man who appreciated both hard work and the comfort of home.

On August 3, 1996, Brent married his wife, Jennifer, and together they shared 30 years and built a life centered on love and family. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Bean; 3 daughters, Rhonda (Roger) Burgess, Courtney (Joe) Gates, and Michelle Church; and by his grandchildren, Clayton, Paige, Journee, and Huntyr; as well as one great grandchild. He will be remembered with deep love by his family, who shared in his laughter, his guidance, and the generous spirit he brought to everyday life.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Glen and Betty Commet; by his brothers, Keith Bean and Duane Commet; and by his grandchildren, Kielynn, Coleson, Amariss, Kyra, and Jaxun.

Brent’s life was one of service, faith, acceptance, and love. He leaves behind cherished memories for all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his presence will be deeply missed.
