Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on March 5th, 1960. Graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1978. Married the love of his life, Laurie Thompson, on January 15th, 1983, after which they raised their children in and considered Marcellus as home.

After 30+ years of being a bad mother trucker, Brad traded in his semi for a camper and traveled the country with his wife, finally stopping at all the roadside attractions.

When Brad wasn’t on the road somewhere, you could find him trying his hand at poker (Texas Hold’em), breaking a club on the golf course, or bragging about Harleys and complaining about the Lions. All of which required a good joke; some good, some bad, some about elephants, but they all would make you laugh.

As much as he loved all of these things, they couldn’t compete with his love for his children and grandchildren. That extended beyond his biological family. Many of his kids’ friends and even some nieces and nephews considered Brad a father figure, and he proudly took on that role. He was also like a brother to all his lifelong friends.

And there was never a night he let any of his kids go to bed without telling them he loved them. So Dad, good night, we love you. I hope you’re making French toast for all the kids up there.

Brad, known affectionately as Biggie, joined his two children Mary Lorraine and William Anthony (Billy), and his parents Frederick Tallman (Whitey) and Mary Ann Tallman (Surdick), and best friend and brother‑in‑law Tony Thompson.

He has left behind his wife Laurie and their children Stacy, Matthew, and Kelli Lash (Nathan); siblings Tina and Kim; grandchildren Emilie, Josie‑Lynne, and Evelynne; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family is looking for donations for the ceremony cost or contributions to Shriners Hospitals for Children or the Michael J. Fox Foundation.

Graveside service at 10am at Moorepark Cemetery in Three Rivers on August 1st. Food and good memories at Bud’s Bar in Schoolcraft at 11. At Biggie’s request; don’t dress up, dress like we’re going to grab a beer.
