On June 20th, 2026 Bette D. Shapley passed into the arms of her savior Jesus Christ our Lord. She was born August 15th, 1938 to Howard and Dena (Schreuder) Bristol. Bette was raised in Hastings, MI and attended school there until she married Robert G. Shapley, Sr. of Nashville, MI. She later finished her education graduating in 1977 from Lakewood School District in Lake Odessa, MI.

Bette had four children, Robert "Bob" Shapley, Jr., Brenda Shapley-Hydon, Bradley M. Shapley and Brian "Mike" Shapley; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, July 11th, 2026 at 11:00 am at Crossroads Bible Church 1144 Dunks Rd. Sherwood, MI 49089 with Rev. Trent Hammond officiating. Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to Kairos Dwelling 2945 Gull Rd. Kalamazoo, MI 49048 or to Crossroads Bible Church in Bette's memory.
