Berle Bruce Bayles

Berle Bruce Bayles, 80, of Coldwater passed away May 15, 2025 at Cameron Hospital in Angola, Indiana from severe health issues. Bruce was born in Albion, Michigan on February 5, 1945 to Paul and Helen Bayles. He was married to Joyce Norris for 36 years and then divorced in 2020.

Bruce worked for the Eaton Corporation for 30 years before retiring. During his 'retired’ years he worked various part-time jobs ending up driving for Meals on Wheels for 15 years. He did small engine repair on the side to fill in some of his free time. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix.

Bruce is survived by his sons, Bruce L (Kelly) Bayles of Bronson and Jeffrey (Kim) Bayles of Coldwater and adopted daughter, Dawn (Duane) Smith of Hillsdale; step-children, Chris (Deb) Shafer of Utah, Penny (Marshall) Weddle of Quincy, Carl Shafer of Coldwater; significant other, Jannie Hunt; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters, Becky (Richard) Stuart of Tekonsha and Brenda (Mike) Reese of Tekonsha, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Bruce attended Oasis of Love Church in Coldwater and was active in serving his Lord and Savior. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date at Oasis of Love Church.
