With his family from August 28th 2015- August 4th 2025
With heavy hearts, we said goodbye to our sweet husky, Ares, who passed away at 10 years old. Though his time with us was cut shorter than we hoped, the love he gave and the memories he left behind will stay with us forever. Ares wasn’t just a dog — he was a full-blown presence. Our ten years with him were filled with more sound, spirit, and soul than we ever could’ve imagined. As a true husky, he made sure his voice was heard (often, and at full volume), and if he wanted something, there was no ignoring him. He was outspoken, determined, full of personality — and absolutely perfect.
Ares came into Patrisha Waters life as a puppy on August 28th 2015, and from day one, he was more than just a pet — he was her best friend, her constant, and her comfort through all the twists and turns of her twenties. From young adulthood to starting a family, Ares was there for it all, always with strong loyalty and gentle eyes that seemed to understand more than words ever could.
He welcomed his two husky brothers, Atlas and Akela, into the pack, along with his human brother Warren and his dad Tristan. He loved them — in his own bold, bossy way — but his heart always belonged to his mom. The bond between Ares and Patrisha was unshakable. He favored her unapologetically, followed her everywhere, and gave her strength in ways she can’t quite explain. And can never thank him enough for.
Ares was strong, stubborn, hilarious, comforting, and full of personality. He never faded into the background. He lived loudly and loved even louder. His absence is deafening now, and the silence he leaves behind is one we don’t yet know how to live with.
He was family. He was comfort. He was home.
And our lives will never be the same without him.
Rest easy, Ares. We’ll miss your voice, your eyes, your heart — every part of you.
Forever our boy. Forever loved.
