Alivia Lynn
Robertson
Jun 12, 2008 — Jul 6, 2026
Alivia Lynn Robertson, age 18, of Portage, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on July 6, 2026. Born on June 12, 2008, in Petoskey, Michigan, Alivia had just celebrated her eighteenth birthday only weeks before.
Alivia was a quiet soul with a bubbly spirit. Though naturally shy and sometimes guarded, those who truly knew her were blessed to experience her kind heart, generous nature, and unwavering love for the people in her life. She had a remarkable ability to make others feel seen, valued, and deeply loved simply by being herself.
Some of Alivia's happiest memories were the simple ones. She loved family outings to Full Blast and the movies, riding four-wheelers, building forts with her younger brothers, and spending time outdoors whenever she could. Animals, especially horses, held a special place in her heart, inspiring her dream of becoming a veterinary technician so she could spend her life caring for them.
Creativity was woven into everything Alivia did. She was an incredibly talented artist who loved expressing herself through her artwork and enjoyed sharing that gift with others by creating meaningful handmade pieces. She also found joy in baking, cooking, and trying new recipes especially sushi. Whether preparing a favorite meal or making a thoughtful gift, Alivia showed her love through acts of kindness and generosity.
She enjoyed anime, horror movies, listening to hard rock music, which she jokingly referred to as her "divorced dad music", and spending time laughing with family and friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor, loved telling jokes, and could always make those around her smile. Her family will forever remember the funny little noises she made while eating, especially as she took the last bite, and how she would often jokingly say, "I'm old."
Known for her strong work ethic, self-motivation, and protective nature, Alivia was an excellent storyteller and someone who quietly looked after the people she loved. Every Christmas Eve, watching Home Alone together was a treasured family tradition she looked forward to each year.
A devoted member of Moore Park Community Church, Alivia's faith was an important part of her life. She believed everything happens for a reason and encouraged others to lean on God through prayer during life's difficult moments.
Even in her passing, Alivia's generous spirit continued to bless others. Through the gift of organ donation, she was able to save four lives—one final act of compassion that beautifully reflected the way she lived.
Above all, Alivia will be remembered for her caring heart, beautiful eyes, radiant smile, infectious laugh, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. Though quiet by nature, she possessed a heart full of joy and would have gladly given the shirt off her back to help someone in need. Her kindness left people feeling loved long after they had been in her presence.
She is lovingly survived by her parents, Ashley and Brad Schippers; her brothers, Brayden and Barrett Schippers; and many extended family members, friends, and her church family who were blessed to know and love her.
Though her time on earth was far too short, Alivia's life was one of kindness, creativity, faith, and selfless love. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her and in the lives forever changed by her final gift of organ donation.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Alivia's life during visitation on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Moorepark Community Church, 55701 Wilbur Road, Three Rivers, Michigan 49093. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the church.
