Alec Marcus Maddock, 22, of Fenton, passed away on May 25, 2026, in an ATV accident. He was born on June 30, 2003, and in his 22 years, he lived more fully, loved more deeply, and laughed more freely than most do in a lifetime.

Alec had an extraordinary gift for making people feel seen. He lit up every room he walked into — funny, sharp and kind. He had a way of analyzing everything, finding humor in the details, and making everyone in his presence feel welcomed and valued. His empathy ran deep. He showed up for the people in his life, without hesitation, without condition.

One of Alec's greatest joys was time spent camping in Evart, where he was most himself — floating the river, riding his quad or dirt bike, cooking extravagant meals, and filling the air with laughter alongside the people he loved. His final days were a reflection of everything he cherished: surrounded by family, his best friends, and an abundance of love and laughter.

Alec was a graduate of Fenton High School, where he formed lifelong friendships. He was a member of the swim team, competing all the way to States. That same drive carried into his professional life, where he threw himself into his work with passion and pride. As Head Chef at Boston's Gourmet Pizza, Alec was in his element. He had a true culinary vision — crafting special dishes and knowing exactly how to take an idea and make it something extraordinary. Boston's became more than a workplace - like family and the warmth he brought into the kitchen every single day was felt by all.

Alec found a deep and profound love in his partner, Jazmine Gierke. Alec had been planning to propose to Jazmine, ready to take the next step toward a future he was so excited to build with her. The life he envisioned with her was a reflection of everything he valued: loyalty, laughter, trust and a love that was shown every single day.

He had a tender heart for animals of all kinds, but held a special place for his two cats, Jelly and Gert, whom he adopted from Adopt-A-Pet, Inc. and adored completely.

He is survived by his father, Mark Maddock; his mother, Jody Maddock; his sister, Mackenzy Maddock; his Nana and Papa, Gayna and Melvin Hulbert; his partner, Jazmine Gierke; his aunt and uncle, Patti and Jeff Hulbert, and cousins Ryan Hulbert and Brett Hulbert (Liz); his uncle and aunt, Matthew and Meshawn Maddock, and cousins Gunther Maddock (Faith), Winsome Bricker (Cameron), and Parker Maddock; and the countless friends and chosen family whose lives are forever better for having known him.

A Celebration of Life for Alec will be held at Fenton Winery & Brewery in Fenton, Michigan, for all those who knew and loved Alec and his family. Friends and loved ones are welcome to gather anytime from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Prayers and shared memories will take place at 3:00 p.m.
Alec was — and always will be — forever loved and never forgotten.
